Why should you seriously consider having a company abroad?

When speaking about the advantages of owning a company abroad, outside your home country, I am often asked this question. Why should I consider having a company abroad when I am doing fine in doing business with my company at home?

When speaking about the advantages of owning a company abroad, outside your home country, I am often asked this question. Why should I consider having a company abroad when I am doing fine in doing business with my company at home?

I used to answer, “You should have company abroad to provide security for yourselves and your family.” To have plan B in today’s uncertain and fast changing world.

If you have the company abroad, e.g. in Dubai which uniquely gives with the company also the residency permit, and if something unexpected happens in your home country, you can just board the plane with your family, fly over to safety and, as Dubai residents, you and your family will be home here, not just tourists. Since it usually takes some time to set up the company abroad, it is too late to do it when something is already happening.

So, think about it and prepare today, rather than tomorrow. Who is prepared now is not unpleasantly surprised later.

Why set up a Trust? (2 of 6 Series)

The primary appeal of a trust is the asset protection and privacy it provides. Because assets held in a trust are no longer technically owned by the settlor, they are often shielded from personal creditors and lawsuits.
